Julia Trendall

Julia Trendall is a highly experienced HR and organisational development professional who has been a key member of the Abundance HR team since 2020. Working with organisations across Australia, she partners closely with Boards, CEOs, executive leaders and management teams to strengthen leadership capability, build workforce sustainability and support long-term organisational success.
With more than a decade of experience in strategic human resources, Julia brings expertise across executive recruitment, workforce strategy, organisational development, employee relations, leadership coaching and mentoring, governance support and organisational change. She is particularly recognised for her ability to build trusted relationships and provide practical advice that balances strategic priorities with operational realities.
Julia has led and supported executive recruitment processes for Chief Executive Officers, senior executives and leadership positions across a diverse range of Aboriginal community-controlled and community-based organisations. Her recruitment approach combines strong sector knowledge, rigorous assessment methodologies and a deep understanding of leadership capability, organisational fit and governance requirements.
Since joining Abundance HR, Julia has worked extensively with Aboriginal community-controlled organisations throughout regional, remote and metropolitan Australia. She is passionate about helping organisations develop internal capability, strengthen leadership and create practical workforce systems that support sustainable growth and positive community outcomes.
Prior to joining Abundance HR, Julia held senior leadership positions across the health and community sectors, leading strategic workforce initiatives, organisational development programs and people and culture functions. Her collaborative approach, sound judgement and commitment to client success have made her a trusted adviser to leaders and organisations across Australia.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), a Graduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management and certifications in mediation, dispute resolution and DiSC behavioural profiling.
